Welcome to Creative Growth Counselling

As a qualified counsellor I offer a safe space to explore your difficulties

Safe and Private Counselling Sessions Online

I started my counselling training in 2007, I had already spent many years supporting people in different 1 to 1 and group contexts. I wanted to train as a counsellor to be able to offer people a better quality of support to understand better how a person was struggling with life's challenges and how to help them make the changes they need to improve the quality of their lives.

My Approach

I initially qualified as a GESTALT trained counsellor- which means looking at how a person has been affected in their body as well as their thoughts and emotions -the whole of a persons experience is seen as important, as I have done further training my support of people could be seen as more integrational being informed from other ways of working e.g. SOLUTION FOCUSED THERAPY, PSYCOHODYNAMIC, COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY, and the CREATIVE ARTS- ART THERAPY- SANDTRAY THERAPY - I work in this way to help tailor the therapy sessions in an individual way to help to empower and create options (giving more tools) for the person needing therapy. Usually a person can see improvement between 6-8 sessions. Some issues need longer term work say 12-20.

Specialism

I am passionate and have particular experience in supporting people who have had a diagnosis - who have been through the mental health system. I also want you to feel you can use counselling sessions to explore this area - if you so wish. Another area I am also passionate about is a person's faith or belief system, which for some people is a difficult area to bring into counselling - I feel its important to allow space for you to explore this area to help you work through these feelings if you so wish.

I also offer specific CHRISTIAN COUNSELLING as part of my services.

Speak in Confidence

Counselling takes place in a safe space, where you can meet with someone who will listen with sensitivity and empathy - and without judgement. In the therapy space thoughts and feelings can be expressed freely and in confidence.

A problem shared...

Trouble with a relationship; anxiety or panic attacks; mood swings or depression - many people face difficulties in their everyday lives that can be hard to get on top of. Counselling gives us a set of tools we can use to help gain a better understanding of what’s causing these problems - and how you can move towards managing or resolving them.

Make better, healthier new choices

Working together I can help you gain greater insight into the difficulties you are facing, help you understand why you act or react to them the way you do, and see how you can start to make better, heathier choices moving forward.

What issues can counselling help with?
